Be Caked

Be Caked is a custom cake studio in Buderim, creating cakes, cupcakes and fondant decorations for birthdays, milestone events and other special occasions across the Sunshine Coast. The focus is on personalised celebration cakes, from children’s birthday designs and detailed character work to multi-tiered, sculpted and fondant-covered creations. Wedding cakes are no longer part of the service, but non-wedding celebrations are very much the studio’s speciality.

The flavour menu includes familiar options such as vanilla, lemon, carrot and strawberries and cream, alongside richer choices including Signature Chocolate, white chocolate mud cake, caramel, mocha, Cookies and Cream and Top Deck. Some combinations add fillings such as raspberry jam, lemon curd, caramel or Biscoff. Gluten-free chocolate and vanilla cakes are available, although Be Caked notes that it is not a certified gluten-free kitchen and does not make egg-free, dairy-free or sugar-free cakes.

Every cake is made from scratch in a purpose-built, council-approved home studio, using the business’s established recipes and quality ingredients. The business was started by Beck, whose interest in baking began with her Nana and developed into more than a decade in the cake industry. Her work includes hand-crafted fondant figurines and themed designs intended to reflect a child’s personality or a celebration’s style. Adult cake decorating classes may also be offered when opportunities arise.
