Brouhaha Baringa

Brouhaha Baringa is the Sunshine Coast brewery’s production site and one of its two taprooms, bringing the brand’s craft beer focus closer to the coast in Caloundra. The Baringa venue combines a taproom with food trucks and live music, giving visitors more than a place to buy beer while keeping the experience relaxed and local.

The brewery’s range includes familiar styles such as Maleny Lager, Hinterland Pale, IPA and Coastal Mid, alongside more distinctive releases. The Strawberry Rhubarb Sour is described as a birthday-inspired beer with chocolate, cherry, dark fruit and strawberry rhubarb notes, while the upcoming Oat Cream IPA is built around oats, tropical and citrus hop character, a creamy finish and restrained bitterness. Locals Lager is also available in two strengths. Availability can vary, with some releases offered through stores rather than directly at the venue.

Brouhaha began in 2016, when four Sunshine Coast locals set out to create their ideal brewpub in the Maleny hinterland. Their original focus on quality beer, fresh local produce, community and local suppliers continues at Baringa. Maleny now serves as the brewery’s pilot lab for limited releases, while Baringa handles production. It is a natural fit for craft beer drinkers, visitors interested in Sunshine Coast brewing and groups looking for a taproom setting with food trucks or live music. The venue’s offering is centred on beer and a casual local experience rather than a formal dining format.
