Cinnabon Sunshine Plaza is the brand’s first bakery on the Sunshine Coast, located on the ground floor of Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore, beside Jamba. It is a straightforward stop for something freshly baked while shopping, a specialty coffee, or a pack of rolls to take home. Online pickup and delivery are also available, giving you the option to order ahead rather than browse in store.

The main draw is Cinnabon’s range of cinnamon rolls. The Classic Roll is the signature starting point, while the Caramel PecanBon adds a caramel and pecan variation and the ChocoBon brings chocolate into the mix. MiniBon Rolls offer a smaller version of the brand’s well-known roll, making them a practical choice when you want a sweet treat without a full-sized serve. The bakery also lists Makara Cinnamon, a cinnamon product available exclusively through Cinnabon.

There is more than baked fare on the menu. Specialty Coffee is available alongside Chillattas, Cinnabon’s blended beverages, and CinnaPacks for taking the bakery experience home. The store also combines Cinnabon with Carvel offerings, including soft serve, sundaes, Carvelanches and Dashers. Cinnabon Sundaes and Cinnabon Dashers bring the two brands together, so the range suits anyone looking for a dessert rather than a traditional bakery stop.

The Cinnabon story began with a father and son who set out to create a cinnamon roll from scratch, working with a master baker and developing the recipe before opening the first bakery in Seattle in 1985. That background gives the Sunshine Plaza shop a clear focus: cinnamon rolls remain at the centre, supported by coffee, blended drinks and Carvel desserts. It works well as a solo stop during a shopping trip, a quick coffee break, or a convenient order for sharing at home. The Maroochydore location trades from 9am to 6pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; until 9pm on Thursday; and from 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
