The site was first associated with Kings Grand Central guest house, built by Allan and Eliza King, before the Perle Hotel opened there in 1957. The hotel was rebuilt and renamed Kings Beach Tavern in 1991, and the business says it has welcomed locals and visitors for more than half a century. Today, it also caters for functions, offering event spaces with food, drinks and the beachside setting.
