The Stone Bowl

The Stone Bowl brings Vietnamese cooking to Gympie Terrace in Noosaville, with a menu built around traditional recipes, fresh herbs, fragrant broths and Australian produce. It is open for takeaway lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, with lunch service running from 10am to 2pm and dinner from 5pm to 8pm. The restaurant is fully licensed and does not offer BYO.

The menu covers a broad range of Vietnamese favourites, with food intended to be shared across the table. Dinner begins with smaller plates such as pork spring rolls, prawn wontons, beef wrapped in betel leaf and lemongrass tofu, while larger options include Vietnamese crepes, grilled pork noodle salad, Vietnamese chicken curry and seasonal ocean fish braised in a clay pot. Vegetarian diners are catered for with dishes including tofu noodle salad, vegetarian spring rolls and a vegetable-filled Vietnamese crepe.

Pho is a particular focus. The takeaway and street-style menus include beef pho, while the signature versions add combinations such as ox-tail, spiced beef meatballs, brisket and premium Australian beef. Options include oyster blade, beef fillet and M8+ Wagyu. Other notable offerings include the Stone Bowl's seafood crepe made with Mooloolaba squid and prawns, Bo La Lot with Australian beef, and the green papaya, young mango and prawn salad. During the day, freshly made banh mi and Vietnamese coffee are available to take away, alongside pho and cold rice noodle salads.
