The Surf Club Mooloolaba

The Surf Club Mooloolaba is a licensed beachfront club combining live entertainment, casual dining and broad views across Mooloolaba Beach. Live music is scheduled every Friday and Saturday night, along with Sunday afternoon sessions, making it a practical choice for a relaxed catch-up with something happening in the background. The club also runs raffles, members’ draws, sports events, special events and promotions throughout the year.

There are several spaces to choose from. The Boathouse Restaurant & Bar is a spacious, family-friendly option with outdoor deck seating and all-day dining, while the Bayview Restaurant & Bar on level two offers uninterrupted views of the beach and Sunshine Coast coastline. Bayview has a more elevated setting for lunch, sunset drinks or a celebration, with a seasonal menu based on locally sourced ingredients. The Surf Club Bar provides a more informal spot to grab a bite and a drink, and Coffee Corner pairs coffee with desserts served with whipped cream or ice cream.

The food offering includes Modern Australian dishes, with menus drawing on fresh local seafood and seasonal produce. Named options include sirloin steak, Boathouse fish and chips, crispy salt and pepper squid, grilled king prawns, seasoned chicken wings, salads and starters. Families are catered for with a dedicated kids menu, while the daily Chef’s Selections give returning diners something different to try. The Boathouse serves lunch and dinner from 11:30am daily; Bayview is open Tuesday to Saturday, with the bar from 11:30am and meals from midday.

The venue is part of the Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club, established in 1922 and built around community, tradition and Australian beach culture. Club history is displayed through photographs, trophies and member biographies throughout the building. Alongside dining and music, visitors can access modern gaming facilities, a TAB area and Keno. Bayview accepts small to medium group bookings, with larger functions possible through the events team, while the relaxed atmosphere, kids menu and visitor-friendly membership policy make the club suitable for families, social groups and casual coastal catch-ups.
