Currimundi Hotel

Currimundi Hotel is a family-friendly pub in the back streets of Currimundi, on the northern edge of Caloundra and only a short distance from the beach. It brings several styles of venue together under one roof, including a restaurant, sports bar, gaming lounge, kids zone and beer garden. That makes it a practical choice for families, groups of friends and locals looking for a casual place to eat or settle in for a few drinks.

The restaurant serves pub classics, local favourites and lighter bites, with dining available across the week. Named offerings and regular features include parmis, Sunday roast, all-day dining and a kids-eat-free promotion, although selected dishes apply to the all-day menu. The beer garden is surrounded by greenery and includes cover for wet weather, as well as treats for visiting dogs. There are 11 beers on tap, a curated wine list and cocktails, giving the space a little flexibility beyond the usual pub meal. The venue’s own description also positions it for business lunches, date nights and relaxed Sunday meals.

Sport is a major part of the experience. The hotel shows AFL, NRL, cricket, NBA, NFL and other competitions across 18 screens, with FOX Sports and ESPN available throughout the venue. The hotel has operated in some form since 1984, when it opened as the Coolabah Hotel Motel. After later name changes, including Stewarts Hotel, it became Currimundi Hotel, or “Curras” to locals. Its history includes long-running community traditions such as the Friday Tradie Club, while its current offering centres on food, live sport, family facilities, functions and a welcoming pub environment in Currimundi, Sunshine Coast.
