Why it's worth checking out
Noosa National Park wraps the headland at the eastern end of Hastings Street, which makes it one of the most accessible great walks in the country — you can be among the gum trees and ocean lookouts within minutes of Noosa's cafes and beaches. Entry is free, and the main coastal track is the reason most people come.
The walk hugs the cliffs past a string of bays and rocky coves, with lookouts that open onto the kind of turquoise water Noosa is famous for. It's also one of the better places near town to spot koalas in the wild, and the headland is a known stretch for watching the surf roll in.
With a 4.8 rating from well over 6,000 reviews, it's a near-unanimous favourite, and it earns it. Tracks range from easy to longer loops, parking near the entrance fills early on weekends and holidays, and conditions can change, so check current track and parking information before you set off — and bring water, sun protection and decent shoes for the coastal path.
Spot Score
The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.8 from 6,741 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
