Currimundi Lake (Kathleen McArthur) Conservation Park

Currimundi Lake (Kathleen McArthur) Conservation Park is a small but distinctive protected area in Kawana Waters on the Sunshine Coast, beside the ocean and about 6.5 kilometres north of Caloundra. It preserves a remnant of wallum heath, a plant community that was once widespread along the coast.

The park is particularly appealing in late winter and spring, when the heath produces vividly coloured wildflowers. Short walks provide a simple way to explore the setting, with views across the creek, lake and ocean beach. Visitors may also spot colourful honeyeaters among the vegetation.
